Not Compatible with Windows 7 without downloading software,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)

I had written a review saying this mouse doesn't work with Windows 7- but it turns out it does. Whew. The tricky part is finding the right software. The software CD included with the mouse will tell you it isn't compatible with your version of Windows, and will redirect you to an utterly unhelpful Microsoft site that basically says you are out of luck. However, after looking at other mouse reviews, I noted someone mentioned needing to download Intellipoint software for Windows 7. So I did a Google search, found a download from a microsoft website, and everything seems to be in order now. So 4 stars for the product- works nicely so far, comfortable, etc.- and minus 1 star for the hassle of getting it to work.

plugging the usb doggle in should just download all needed info, just wait until it gets done and make sure you have internet connection at the time.
