1.0 out of 5 stars Awful sound quality, May 20, 2011

This review is from: Belkin F8Z492ttP Bluetooth Music Receiver (Wireless Phone Accessory)
The sound quality is brutal!

Terrible, terrible sound quality. Wanted to listen to music wirelessly from my cell phone. I connected the same cell phone to a laptop via bluetooth A2DP (and the laptop to the same speakers), and it sounded great. But through this device, everything sounds awful.

No music will be enjoyable on this.

The range was OK, not any worse than other bluetooth devices I've used. Not that that matters with the awful sound quality.

Did I mention the sound quality is atrocious? You don't have to be an audiophile to hear how bad it sounds. It sounds bad on $50 speakers and sounds bad on $1000 speakers.

Note: Bluetooth A2DP can do high quality audio; it's not a limitation of bluetooth. This device just does a bad job.

For what it's worth, I fully second this review / opinion. I now have 3 different bluetooth adapters (my other ones from Blackberry and Sony Ericson) and both produce a much richer audio than the Belkin device. Granted, paid less than half for the Belkin, but the sound is pretty dismal. Have done all possible permutations and hookups with the adapters and my phones (HTC) and tablet (N7). Audio is pretty dismal.
