UPDATE at review's end.
Must be a Blu-Ray thing?
Love the player. Video is beautiful. Sound is wonderful. Design is elegant.
Don't love the lack of "feet" on the bottom. I placed this unit on my cable box (no other choice for me), and there is no ventilation gap between the player and the cable box. I keep my home cool, and the cable box has vents on the side, so I'll likely be fine. Because of this, however, I'm glad the player has a feature that automatically cuts power if the device becomes too hot.
Most of all, don't love the fact that it can't remember where I was on a disc if I stop the disc. My last player, a DVD player, remembered my place on up to 5 discs.
Regarding the remote: It's a bit of a mind-bender at first because there is no "guide" to the remote on the remote. The lack of properly labeled buttons, heck the lack of buttons period, can cause anxiety and frustration. At the very least, the remote should have come with a sticker navigating users to the page in the manual that explains it.
Overall, highly recommended.
UPDATE: Just posted this today and then found the answer to the main part of my gripe. A green button on the remote allows for bookmarking. Stumbled upon it by accident. Changed review from 4 to 5 stars.
