This review is from: Philip Stein Women's 31-ARGW-RBW Active Rose Gold and White Rubber Strap Watch (Watch)
I bought this watch because of the idea of Natural Frequencies to help with my body's rhythm and also frequent headaches. I will update this review as I continue to wear the watch on these aspects.
The 4/5 is because it is a beautiful watch! The rose gold on the face of the watch shines brightly in any kind of light. As a medical student, I find the 24 hour dial on the bottom vastly useful because of the use of military time in the hospital. Also, the upper dial has the date on it, so it will be very useful too. Because of this, though, months that do not have 31 days need to have slight adjustment on the first of every month, but that wasn't enough to drop a star. The reason why this watch has lost a star is because within the first two days (less than 24 hours of total wear) the white watch band has started to look dirty. No gentle cleaner that I've tried will take off the grey smudges. I'm worried what a stronger cleaner would do, so I'm just leaving it as it is. Hopefully it won't be too noticeable. Even though it is discoloring, the watch band is VERY comfortable. I forget I'm wearing it at times. Good thing it is water resistant for frequent hand washings.
EDIT: July 3, 2014
After wearing it for the last few months I have noticed that I do sleep a little better at night, but I do not know whether or not it is from the watch or the fact my classes ended for the summer.
Also a bit more concerning is that I have started developing an allergic reaction to the watch band. I will be contacting Philip Stein directly about this and I will update this review when I reach a conclusion to this issue. I really and truly hope I will not have to lower my 4/5 star rating for this watch.
EDIT: August 5th, 2014
I contacted Philip Stein directly and they do offer replacement watch bands for their watches. Sadly they are pricey and even though I had an allergic reaction I will need to pay for the replacement band. It is a wonderful watch, but the cost adds up if you don't want (or could wear) the silicon band. I guess I will have to save up for the replacement band, since the metal bands that fit this watch are as expensive as the watch is.
BEWARE if you have a latex sensitivity!
