frog eyes are HUGE!,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Fisher-Price Precious Planet Froggy Friend Potty (Baby Product)My son loves this chair. It's simple, he can carry it around if he wants and it's a frog "ribbit". However he has NO idea how to sit on it. He either sits sideways or I have to help him straddle over those big eyes. Once he's sitting his legs are very spread apart, he just looks uncomfortable. He's very big for his age, 17 months old- 33lbs and 3'2 in tall. When he tries to get off of the seat he "racks" himself. His knees are bent so that they look like they are in his face, the seat is short. I'm not sure if the site has measurements, but double check! The price is OK, but seeing as we can't use it properly, it's a waste for us. I'll be buying something taller, with absolutely NO obstacles! Something he can just sit on without having to spread his legs at the same time hes having to backup to it and sit. I'm working on just sitting him on the big toilet for now on a cars toilet seat cover (which also has many flaws) I hope this helps make your decision! I always rely on these reviews! Then again, I bought mine off this site because of all the positive reviews! LOL the irony...good luck with your training!

The reason for the eyes is it's a pee guard which is why I like it for boys.

I couldn't agree more. I bought this for the pee guard but my son (19 months, 30 lbs and 33 inches tall) cannot sit on it without assistance. He backs up and nearly falls! I have the bjorn seat (toilet and potty) and while spendy, they work much better.

We have the same issue. Our son hates sitting on this seat because he has to spread his legs. We are looking for a new seat.

Hi. Do you have the bjorn smart potty or the potty chair? Or do you mean the bjorn seat that only goes on the toilet? My 16m old son has gone twice on the big toilet and is so excited about going #1 and 2, but being so young and no potty chair yet I had to hold him on the toilet. I want to get one soon, but trying to pick the right one.

Hi, Jess. No, I never bought Bjorn. My son just started to poop in the big potty, but he still used the frog to pee sometimes. He was fully potty trained at 2 1/2 yrs. I did buy this seat, and it was helpful to use the removable seat and also for him to stand on to wash his hands and also as a foot rest while he's on the potty. I honestly recommend buying a small footstool, a small seat cover and just focus on the big potty. It's so much money for all the stuff! My son is now 4 and I have no idea where his two potty chairs are :) packed away somewhere. :)
Best of luck to you! OH! also, we've had many moments of "potty training" outside LOL, I say let them go when they have to, like behind a tree or next to the car door ;) PRI 4-In-1 Soft Seat Toilet Trainer and Step Stool White with Pastel Blue Seat
