5.0 out of 5 stars Great Device (for the price), December 31, 2013

This review is from: Ematic EP205 Accessory Kit for Tablets and iPad with Bluetooth Speaker (Electronics)
Please don't expect jawbone or Logitech quality from a sub $20 bluetooth speaker. The packaging is horrible and the accessories are just sad marketing gimmicks to make the purchase sound more appealing. If you're giving this as a gift, be warned, it will look cheap. However, I'm not planning to display the box or the wires it came with (just use your phone accessories), so that doesn't bother me. The speakerbox actually looks pretty decent, and the sound isn't bad. It's loud and has some good bass. The buttons on the device are all functional on an iPhone 5s (play, pause, forward, back and phone answer) and its extremely easier to pair. We purchased this for our bathroom so our phones can hide outside and not get damaged from humidity. For that purpose, its the perfect device. I can go about 20 feet before it gets distorted. Would I use this for conference calls or a dinner party...probably not. Would I sacrifice this box under humid conditions to save my phone from damage...absolutely!

I disagree with the part about not expecting Logitech quality. This unit sounds better than my Logitech and is easier to pair. It feels like it's built better and the controls work better too. The only negatives are that it's not stereo, there are 2 speakers but they are both on the same side. It also has an SD card slot that's supposed to be for playing music but it won't play anything.
