If Seth Godin recommends it (he gave a testimonial front and center on the cover), I read it. And I am thrilled I did. First of all, I am a little biased, since this book speaks to my belief... it is all about the little guy and how he can compete with the big corporate brands. So while some of the insights in the beginning weren't new to me, it inspired me and got the energy flowing.
My favorite section is 7 (starts on page 83) where David speaks about online video content. I have checked out his stuff and his clearly practice what he preaches. He has done hundreds of interviews and the result is a huge online collection of different industry authorities with David in the forefront. He gives the "recipe" to do the same.
Also a must read, starts on page 183, section 14, on how to connect with anyone. It is the off-line version of building a network as he explains in section 7. One key tip - is "asking for nothing" opens the door for everything.
Very good read, nice energy. Some basic stuff - but good to have it driven home again. And some new stuff. I recommend.
