These Things are Great (but kinda small)!,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Kinderville Little Bites Silicone Bowls, Cups and Storage Jars (Baby Product)
Silicone is the way to go and these little storage containers are great. The suction on the lids is fantastic, they're unbelievably easy to seal, our toddler LOVES playing with the tops, and we don't have to worry about any of the bad things you might get from plastic or other storage containers.
However, they ARE expensive and they're a bit small to hold all that much. If we fill 'em with blueberries or raspberries to take to the park, they don't hold a full serving and our child ends up wanting more.
They're probably really great for an infant, but a bit small for a toddler. Instead of buying more of these, we're going to look around for a slightly larger size.
UPDATE 10/4/2010: This is kind of B.S. because Amazon will only allow a review for "one product per customer". The above review is for the storage jars. We've just ordered and begun using the Kinderville silicone drinking cups and this update is for that product:
These silicone cups were bought for our toddler whose is weaning from sippy cups to big girl cups. They're great! Perfect size for little hands and non-toxic, unbreakable silicone.
The two 1 star reviews for this product are: 1. "The plates taste like plastic." Pull-ease. There's no plastic, so they don't/can't taste like plastic. However, I think if you don't clean them promptly the silicone can retain some of the "taste" or odor from the food. Still not plastic, though. 2. The second 1 star review is that they are made in China and take away American jobs. Fair enough, but what do you want to bet the computer that was used to type that review was made in China too? NOT RELEVANT.
We liked the storage jars and we LOVE these cups.
