Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: New Balance Women's WX623 Training Shoe (Apparel)
I got these specifically for 2 reasons: They come in wide, and they were positively reviewed by people who were using them for exercise as I purchased them halfway through the Insanity program. My old cross trainers were just too old and needed to be retired. The pros of these shoes are that they're available in wide sizes, they're super light yet very supportive, and they have lots of cushioning. These are really important to me because I'm doing a lot of jumping and side to side movements. The major downside is that there is absolutely no arch support. If you don't need arch support, these are great. If you need it, they're mediocre. The insoles come out, so I'm going to try to find ones that will fit my needs. For right now, I have a pair of Dr. Scholl's insoles in there on top of the insoles the shoes came with, and it's helping a lot.

I use Spenco hard sole inserts and they give great arch support. I never use the inserts athletic shoes come with anymore. They are a bit expensive, but last a long time and are totally worth the cost!
