This review is from: Why Do We Kill?: The Pathology of Murder in Baltimore (Paperback)
I just received my copy last Friday, and I must say that I have been captivated by this book ever since. Each and every one of the cases in this book at some point have been the topic of water cooler discussions at my job. When reading over the individual cases its like removing the media's spin on the story and getting the real deal.
Each case is described in great detail and at times can be a little intense. I found it especially grappling when the author described the emotions displayed by the father of a teen stabbing victim named Nicole Edmonds.
Although the book goes into great detail about the gruesome murder scenes, a lot of respect was shown to the victims no matter what walk of life they were in at the time of their deaths.
I would love to see this book in volumes because there are so many of these stories in Baltimore that we dont hear about.
THIS BOOK IS A CLASSIC!!!!
