4.0 out of 5 stars Not actually a big price increase, September 30, 2012
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Seventh Generation Baby Diapers, Free and Clear for Sensitive Skin, Original Unprinted, Size 3, 155 Count (Health and Beauty)
I just want to make sure everyone realizes what's happening here. The old Stage 3 Subscribe & Save package was for 4 boxes of 35 diapers (140 diapers). Those boxes haven't been sold in stores in months. Seventh Generation switched to 31-diaper boxes that supposedly fit better and velcro together better. Doubtful. Regardless, this value pack is for 155 diapers, which is now 5 boxes of 31 diapers, instead of 4. At my local grocery store, a single box of 31 diapers costs $13-$14. That means a 5-pack of those boxes at retail price would be $65-$70. The Subscribe & Save price is $40. That's a fantastic deal, in my mind. It's still more expensive per diaper than the old deal, but that's because Amazon eventually was going to run out of boxes of the old diapers that they had stockpiled. Now that they are forced to buy the new Seventh Generation packages, it will be a bit pricier.

You are right ! It's not a big increase. We love these diapers.

I did the honest diaper trial! I kept finding gel pieces on the baby. And as for the wipes they dried out so quickly. Cute designs though.

Hm, none of those issues happened to us and we have been using for almost a year. Perhaps you needed a bigger size diaper for your baby to hold all the urine. We make sure the wipes lid is always closed too. The wipes are not meant to be saturated like the pampers or huggies wipes, plus I don't like wipes saturated in a bunch of liquid chemical mess.

How good of a deal it is varies. Our store sells a single pack this size for $8.99 and I'm often able to get coupons but even at regular price the amazon price is not a great deal. It does make up the price difference if amazon offers a coupon in addition to the subscribe and save discount.
