inaccurate ring sizer,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: SE - Ring Sizer - Metal, 36 Pc (Kitchen)
I ordered this for my jewelry smithing needs. The price and quality seemed good from the picture and description so I gave it a shot. However when I received it and tested the sizes against a accurate ring mandrel, many of the sizes we noticeably off by around a quarter to a half size off. Each number size has three variations, a plan number, a -, and a =. But even with all three, I couldn't find an accurate size for some sizes. Also I believe the size variations on these are nontraditional, typically the "-" represents a half size, so like 7- would be 7 and a half.
I ended up returning this and was very pleased with the ease and quickness of the return.
So, if you don't mind having the sizes being off by a half size or so, it'd be ok getting this. However, I'd definitely wouldn't call these professional. I bought a different one after my return from a jewelry resource store and they were perfectly accurate.

I dont like the one I received either. I want to order an expensive ring online, whose sizes come in 1/4 sizes. So I dont know how I can coordinate with this Ring Sizer which gives the sizes in 1/3 sizes. Also, some of the rings are missing, and there are only 2, rather than 3, for a size. Also, the printing on some of the rings is incorrect or unreadable. Can you please tell me what you mean by a 'jewelry resource store'?

A good resource I've found was Rio Grande. This the one I bought, and was very nice: http://www.riogrande.com/Product/Wide-Sha
