This review is from: Car Cigarette Lighter Triple Socket Adapter with USB Output (Black) (Automotive)
Just got mine in the mail today and plugged it into my 2011 Corolla. It works... and it powers my GPS and cell phone charger. No complaints with this user!

UPDATE: it does NOT power the AC/DC power inverter when you actually want to USE it. You can turn on your power inverter and it'll be on... but if you have something plugged into your inverter, you'll want to have that plugged directly into your car's power socket.

agree that this unit can't be used with high-draw items, like your power inverter... there's another item floating around with the same design and specs that also stated that it's only good for GPS, cellphone, fm mp3 transmitters, radar detectors only...

I think that's kind of the point. You don't really want to split your 12V DC connection then try to invert and boost the power up. For what you're trying to do the Automotive section in walmart or a quick trip to (Advance)Auto(Zone) to buy one of those $30-$40 deals will net you a nice inverter with another 12V DC plug. If you hunt around some of them come with the 120V plug, 12V DC and usb.

EDIT: Even a quick search on Amazon itself will find something better suited to your needs *below* retail price. e.g.:Rally 7413 200W Cup Holder Power Inverter with USB Port
