1.0 out of 5 stars Can't keep this incense burning!, May 16, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Frankincense - Box of Six 20 Sticks Tubes, 120 Sticks Total - HEM Incense From India (Health and Beauty)
I bought this incense because my local sources for good quality incense have all but dried up. I meditate every morning and a good quality incense helps me to do so. This incense refuses to stay lit.. oh, its not every stick but nearly so. I would suggest who ever mixed this formula didn't care or didn't know what they were doing. A great deal of this order is going in my wood stove - not exactly what I paid for.. I do not know which brand I will buy next but it definitely won't be HEM!

I'm sorry to hear you are having a problem - I've used a lot of HEM incense and it has almost always burned just fine - I think I've only had one or two sticks out of the hundreds I've burned that I had to relight, and that was usually because the incense had been chipped or something. Precious Chandan is a particularly nice scent - try to find it locally, because you can often find a better deal (sorry Amazon!).

You may want to be careful how you're storing you're incense. Cheaper quality incense (Which this may fall into) tend to be affected by the humidity more than the higher quality stuff. With that said, if you're having an issue with humidity, try to store the incense in an air tight container of some kind..or at least more air-tight. I'm looking into purchasing these only because of the Citronella flavor (which my normal brand doesn't have). If you want a higher quality incense to try, I'd try Nippon Kodo. Personally, I've burned thousands of their incense sticks over the past number of years for both meditation as well as calming reasons. I've never had, not even one stick, not perform well in burning. Just a thought.

Now, who would that be? She got a bad box, it could happen with any product. Namaste.
