This review is from: PlayStation Vita Carrying Case (Accessory)
When I first got The official Sony Vita Case, I was satisfied. While it didn't protect the Vita as well as my old Logitech Case did for my PSP, it did keep the screen safe while the Vita was in my pocket/bag and it's use as a stand to display the Vita while watching videos was much appreciated. Sadly, the design of the case requires you to snap the Vita to the case via a harness like device. In theory, this works well because it allows the case to dangle from the Vita while playing the system and allows access to the back touch panel.
After less then two months of use, this harness has broke, and my Vita can no longer snap to the case, and now it's more or less useless. I can still place the Vita in the case to keep the screen safe while traveling, but any protection this already lacking case provided is gone out the window if I were to drop my Vita.
If you do decide on getting the official Sony Case, my best advice would be to leave the Case snapped to the Vita at all times to attempt and keep the harness from snapping. However, playing with the case dangling from the Vita can be distracting and get in the way of gameplay, and is less ideal.
Before the harness broke, I would have given this three stars for just being satisfactory, but considering this thing broke in less then two months, I can't really recommend it to anyone, especially since it seems like their are far better cases out there for less or near equal price.
