This review is from: Hario Coffee Drip Scale/Timer (Kitchen)
I've been using this scale every morning for the past week and it is really improving my morning coffee brewing experiences. I've owned 2 scales in the past, a soehnle scale that was ok. It was accurate, pretty, had a fast read out, and had touch based buttons that didn't get dirty during kitchen use. The 2 drawbacks for the soehnle were the Auto-Off timer. When brewing Chemex or V60 and waiting for the coffee bloom the scale would often times shut off. I had to stand next to the scale and tap the pressure plate so the scale wouldn't fall asleep. The soehnle also started giving inaccurate weight measurements after 1 year of use.

The second scale I had was from American Weighs, it was an improvement over the soehnle because it had 1/10th of a gram accuracy and gave consistent measurements. It did however have a much smaller pressure plate which made fitting the Chemex on top difficult sometimes, and the American Weigh scale suffered from the same quick auto-off timer problem that the soehnle had. Also, the mechanical buttons eventually became dirty from dropping grinds and now the buttons are sticky.

The hario has taken care of all of these problems. The readout is super fast so as your pouring water the measurement readout updates quickly. It has 1/10th of a gram accuracy when weighing below 200grams and 1 gram accuracy when over 200 grams. My guess is that this is to increase the readout speed. It also has a large pressure plate that easily supports the Chemex. It has an integrated timer! So you can make sure your V60 Pours are running around 2:30. The auto-off has 2 modes, the default is 5 Minutes, which is more than enough to wait for a bloom. If the timer is activated the auto-off is extended to 99 Minutes. The scale uses easy to find AAA batteries. And It's pretty!

It's too bad Amazon is taking your comment about sticky buttons out of context and making it look like it's about the Hario.

In case you hadn't seen they are quoting that sentence from your review in their "most helpful comments" section.
