2.0 out of 5 stars Poor battery life, January 7, 2010
This review is from: Cuisinart CSB-78 Smart Stick Plus Cordless Rechargeable Hand Blender (Kitchen)
I have an earlier version of this cordless immersion blender. I loved the idea of a cordless model, but I found some big drawbacks. On a full charge, the battery would run out of juice after about 5 minutes. So if you want to puree several batches of food at once, you're out of luck until you wait for the battery to charge.

After about a year, my battery no longer held a charge while the unit was in storage. Now I have to plan ahead and plug in my blender the day before I want to use it. (It takes a long time to recharge the battery.)

Hopefully these battery issues have been remedied in the newer version, but it's something to keep in mind. I'm buying another immersion blender with a cord and junking this one.

I have had mine 8 months and the battery won't recharge anymore either. Update: Cuisinart replaced the entire unit as it failed within the 12 month time frame.

found a replacement battery . battery died in one year. have no intention of being fooled three times, and will not purchase anything Cuisinart offers as rechargeable.
