This review is from: 5.5 Qt. Oval Slow Cooker - Red
Real Simple Magazine Rated this in the top 3 out of 12 cookers they tested (January 2008). I don't actually own it, but I've been spending months reviewing cookers and I'm tired of looking and reading reviews, so this is the one I'm going to buy. "The timers on most cookers start at four hours, leaving you to set a separate timer for quick recipes, like cakes. This one starts at 30 minutes." Other top cookers were the expensive Cuisinart 6.5 Qt at $100 and the All-Clad 6.5 qt. slow cooker with ceramic insert at $150.

How can a product be rated when you do not own it????

Thank you so much for doing some "leg" work on this product. I appreciate it as I spend a lot of time doing the same thing so that I'm sure to end up with a product I'm knowledgeable about. AND I love reading others' research results. I bought this one after much research - including Consumer Reports - and LOVE it, but be sure you become accustomed to the slightly hotter (than other slow cookers) cooking temperatures. Highly recommended.

Amazon should delete ratings that do not reflect actual experience with the product.

Thanks for saving me time by doing some of the research for me. I appreciate those types of reviews as well.
