Flexees Tank Top with wide band - PRODUCT HAS CHANGED - BEWARE,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Maidenform Flexees Women's Shapewear Long Length Tank (Apparel)
I purchased the black tank top, pictured with a wide 3" band at the bottom, last spring. I recently started using the top frequently while exercising and really loved it - it didn't ride up and was very comfortable. So I decided to order 2 more of the same. What I received, however, was not the same top - it had no wide band at the bottom and even felt of a more slippery material. It turned out to be extremely uncomfortable and would ride up to my waist with very little movement. Needless to say I returned one top, and the other that I wore will end up in the garbage. I informed Amazon of the mistake and they were extremely cooperative, as I've always found Amazon to be. So, I placed another order and received the same not pictured top again - which I promptly sent back. I have since ordered the same top pictured with the wide band from another company and received that today. It also was the same top that I received from Amazon without the wide band.
Obviously the company that makes the Flexees top has changed the product yet sellers still show a picture of a top that is no longer available. Potential buyers - please be aware that the great reviews for the top were for the one that is no longer available. I have spent so much time trying to get a top like the one I purchased last spring and have now finally given up.
Update 2/23/12: I have tried purchasing the product with the lace at the bottom and found that it is a substitute that I can use. It doesn't ride up while exercising, although it's not a good as the original Flexees tank top that I purchased.

What size did you get? I ask because I want to get an XXL or XXXL, maybe those are less in demand and will be the originals I hope.

Thanks for the thoughtful review. Sellers need accurate descriptions and images of the actual item! When I open the package, I don't expect to be surprised -- as has happened several times, and is the main dis-incentive to buy online. Certain sellers do not indicate that they understand the concept of A STORE: you always saw before you bought, and you bought something very specific. (Pls forgive the capital ltrs)

Crap. The band on the bottom made all the difference.

I am a size 22/24 and fit into a size 2XL. They run big. Or did when they had the band on the bottom. Now I'm nervous.

very helpful review.
I love when people take the time to explain things like this. It's very appreciated.
Where did you get the one with the lace at the bottom, could you post a link?
Thanks so much!

I wrote a review of this too, and had the same experience. LOVED the old one, the new one rode up and made me look like I had rolls of fabric fat around my mid-section. I'll compare the two I have, old one I love, and new one that's useless and rides up, when I get home.
I thought I had bought the wrong item, I didn't even stop to think that they switched up the design.
Thanks for the info!
UPDATE: I went home and checked; the one that I love and the new one ARE the same brand! The old one was and is my favorite article of fine feminine flatten-ing, the new one is a bunchy rolled up mess of useless.

I agree! I hate the new ones! They WILL NOT stay down! Constantly riding up! I gave the original five stars and my review now goes with this one which is NOT the original one I reviewed! They need to bring back the original with the wide band at the bottom! It stayed pulled down much better! This new design is awful!

I notice this too! So I switched over to the "Maidenform Comfort Devotion" line. I love them! They "suck" in the tummy better and stay put rather nicely like the old style flexees. However, the are not as long!
