This review is from: Hoover U5780900 WindTunnel + Cyclonic Bagless HEPA Upright Vacuum Cleaner (Kitchen)
I am not a Hoover Hater and when I saw that Hoover had started their own versions of cyclonic vacuums, I pretty much bought this vacuum without hesitation. I LOVED this vacuum at first, it had great suction, which was what I was looking for, but after a month it started making a very loud noise when I used it on carpet. I ordered new belts (it takes 2) and replaced them myself, took it apart and cleaned everything, and it was still very loud. Several weeks after that, the brush roll for carpet stopped rotating all together!!! Totally useless on carpet. Again I looked up Hoover on-line only to find that there are no replacement parts to buy on line for this problem. I took it in to see how much to repair it and they told me $100 + .... umm no, thank you - I would rather invest in a new vacuum that I can depend on not to break in a month! I through this in the garbage... like throwing $200 in the toilet. I rely heavily on customer reviews... and I can assure you that you would be disappointed with this product.

The same thing happened to me. The brush stopped turning. I thought the belt had gotten stretched out, so I ordered another. It was exactly the same size, and the brush turned for about a week, then stopped. I am very disappointed.
