This review is from: ANSMANN Rechargeable AA Batteries 2850mAh high-capacity high-rate rechargeable NiMH Batteries (4-Pack) (Electronics)
UPDATE: Jan 7,2012.
Just got my second set of these batteries. They work well in my flashlight, so I got another set. These seem to be an updated generation. Same 2850mah, but the battery look is different, and seem to be made more for digital devices. I am going to use these new ones in my Tekkean 1550 USB battery pack.
My experience with my previous Ansmann batteries has been excellent. I also have some 1100mah AAA, that are great too. I have had no problems.
I put these new ones in my Dorcy flashlight, and they lit it up right out of the pack, so they are good batteries. Now I am charging them up.
5 Stars for these newer ones too.
I bought some Power2000 brand, in a pack of 10. None had a charge in them!!! 3 of those were dead!!! Not rechargeable. The others accepted a short charge, but do not keep it long in my Tekkeon MP1550 external battery...so I looked around...found these with 7 of 7 people giving them 5 out of 5 stars. Decided to give them a try. These batteries had a charge when they arrived, like you would expect. They gave 2 of 3 lights in my Tekkeon MP1550 external battery. The Power2000's gave No lights. So right off the bat, these are a much better battery. These Ansmann's charged up and ran a 1hr 38min movie in my camera connected to the MP1550 and still had 3 lights!!! So, I have plenty of power with these batteries...I have not had them long enough to form an opinion on Battery Life, but some of the other reviewers have. They seem to be a good battery...You might as well give them a try!!!!
I think they are good batteries because the ones I bought were shipped from the Ansmann Company!!!! They have not been sitting in a camera shop for years....
July 7, 2011. I have now had a year to evaluate these batteries. They are excellent. I use them now in my Dorcy 180 lumen Flashlight. At 1.2 volt maybe not as bright as an Alkaline 1.5 volt, but still plenty of light, we are talking very bright. I can light a street sign up 1 and a half blocks away, at midnight and read the sign in my binoculars, like it was daylight! Any where I shine it, it becomes daylight. These batteries recharge well, and last in the flashlight which I use most every night for the last year. The original batteries worked in the flashlight a full year and the light was only about 1/2 as bright. These batteries could do that too, but I charge them every 1-2 weeks just to have it as bright as possible. Excellent batteries.
