5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Picture Quality, VERY Durable, Best Monitor Out There!, January 1, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Infant Optics Digital Video Baby Monitor with Night Vision (Baby Product)
Length:: 2:26 Mins

An overview of the great features of this monitor with great detail to the fantastic picture quality! This monitor is the greatest and it is SO DURABLE -- a must for a house with a toddler! Easy to mount, easy to use, virtually no set-up required. This monitor is a DREAM!

My video shows the night vision feature and how crystal clear it is, but I wanted to add that the monitor shows FULL COLOR as well! To clarify, the monitor is automatically in FULL COLOR, and switches to night vision when it is dark. There is no toggle button or need to switch anything around -- it does it all FOR you (love this monitor!)

Thanks for the review!
Can you please tell me - does the monitor operate on battery power alone? I don't see anywhere that it comes with a wall charger... Do I need to purchase the wall plug in separately? How long does the battery last without plugging it in?
Thanks for any further info you can provide :)

"The DXR-5 features a long-lasting battery-powered monitor for easy and convenient transport throughout the day. Fitted with a 900mAh Li-on battery, it can operate with or without its power adapter. The starter kit comes with sufficient power cords already (2x)."

Mine did not come with a battery charger. That is one thing I don't like about it. You have to wait for it to be charged because the camera needs the power source.

I'm confused. Your package did not come with 2 power cords? There's 1 for the camera and 1 for the monitor. Why did you not return it?

Pine Street - there's suppose to be 2 power cords! You should call amazon and get an exchange

*It definitely does come with two power cords. If yours did not it is a mistake and you need to contact them. We purchased this and it does come with two.

*"SO DURABLE" - This is a little laughable. It does look like it is built well, but the plastic is a little thin and seems "economic" (of course I mean cheap by that). I can see light from the monitor through the plastic on the side, that's how thin it is. I could not with the Motorola that we used to have. Overall for the price, I would say that this is a good monitor and should last if you take care of it.
