How romantic is it when your boyfriend would rather suck your blood than kiss you?,
This review is from: Twilight (Two-Disc Special Edition) (DVD)
I know in a culture where it is almost "politically incorrect" to dislike Twilight this review is risky to write but I just have to get my opinion out there. ;) Short and simple, I was not interested in Twilight AT ALL when it first came out. When people started going nuts over it, I grew even more disgusted. I had no interest in reading the books or watching the movies. Then one day my sisters made me watch this film, and I gave in, mostly so I could make even more fun of it. Trust me, I was NOT converted after seeing it.
I don't want to slam this film just because it won't make someone who loves it dislike it. That's not my goal. Rather, I just want to put out a word for those of you who haven't seen it but are trying to decide if you want to or not. Honestly, it is hardly romantic at all. I was so frustrated that Bella could fall in love with a guy who repeatedly tells her he has to control himself from sucking her blood. The acting really is not fantastic, even cheesy at times. The directing portrayed scenes as way too dramatic and overplayed. The story-line is unbelievable and a very unrealistic picture of high school is painted.
I honestly do not understand why this film is so popular. It's not like I hate these stories just because it's "Twilight", I just honestly don't think the story is worth the time.
