Amazing Set at an Amazing Price,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Panasonic VIERA TC-P50U50 50-Inch 1080p Full HD Plasma TV (2012 Model) (Electronics)
I was skeptical of this set at first, when viewed in-store at Best Buy and Walmart it seemed dull and dim compared to the much brighter LCD's on display. Those employees, like a couple reviewers here, just have no idea how to properly set it up. Crank up the brightness and contrast, this is the most amazing picture quality I've seen in my home(make the employees set it to "vivid" for a quick way to compare). Gamers swear by Panasonic Plasmas, and this model is no exception. The deep blacks add layers of color I never saw on my previous TV and the lack of LCD lag make all my games feel so much more responsive. 3D is a fad and "smart" features can be added just by hooking up a PC, or are delivered by the PS3 or 360 already. Skip those unneeded costs to grab this giant plasma for a great value.

Yes blitzur motion blur is a better term, but yea I play alot of cod2 on the pc and lag is basically from bad internet connection and high pingers,I understand that.I like the more realistic motion flow of plasmas vs lcd.led etc..I also found the colors to be great on this set

Input lag is a real thing blitzur and most Plasma's are known by enthusiasts to have the least. In a 60 frame per second game 16 milliseconds = 1 frame of animation 32 ms = 2 frames etc... the more input lag the less responsive the game game will feel. As a side note the new LG LM6700 was tested to have 67ms of input lag which equates to about 4 frames of animation and the Panasonic ST50 was tested to have 16ms of lag. I don't know about you but as a gamer I'm going to buy the tv with the lowest input lag. Check out HDTVtest (dot) co (dot) uk they test for input lag on all evaluated televisions.

what are your settings if you dont mind me asking. The whites are extremely dull on mine and i can't seem to solve that problem. Everything but the whites is amazing.
