Great weight set at a great price,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Universal Power-Pak 445 Adjustable Dumbbells with Stand (Combo) (Sports)
I was a little worried purchasing these with no reviews, but I took a chance and boy am I happy I did. I was very pleased with the ease of setting up the stand and weights. The weights are very easy to use and switch between the different weight levels. I would highly recommend these for both the price of the stand/weights and for the quality of the product. You won't be disappointed.

how sturdy are these...will they hold up to long time use? Are the parts made of cheap plastics? Any more info you could spill would be great!

Are these made of all metal? Any plastic parts that might break with use, etc.?

@ lady you probably have 1 pound increments because your weights only go to 10 pounds. 5 pound increments is pretty standard for mens weights. I highly doubt you can show me an adjustable weight set that goes to 45 pounds in 1 pound increments and is anywhere near this price range, but if you can please do.
@chad it is listed on the page that the handles are made of plastic. the dials are probably also made of plastic.
@david it is listed several places on the product page that it goes from 4 to 45 pounds.

dealbreaker: the handles are made of plastic.

You do of course realize that this is for TWO dumbbells? 45lbs each. An equivalent free-weight set that allowed 1-lb adjustments would require 82 weights. And 164 pieces if you are talking about those handles where you add plates.
i think the bowflex set has 2.5-lb increments for the first 20 pounds - after that it's 5.
this is pretty standard.
