It was so nice I bought it twice...,
This is a great water filter and it gets plenty of use in my household. If anything I could say "I wish it held more water," (I drink 3+ litres of water a day and it seems that I am always filling the darned thing up) - but that would be an unreasonable request. Who would want a dispenser so large that it would be unwieldy to carry to the refrigerator? No one - not even me. So I bought a second one so that one of them is always full! This dispenser is slim so that I can easily fit two side by side in my refrigerator. (Can't have too much of a good thing!) And this filter/dispenser is definitely good - it has a large fill "basket" and the 2 stage filter produces water that is completely taste and odor free. I could easily tell the difference in my drinking water! Lastly, the filters (with usage indicators) are long-lasting. I have filled my first dispenser twice a day for 1 1/2 months and it still hasn't reached the half way point. Very impressive results! Highly recommend.

Wrong - you only buy the pitcher ONE time for $26 (free shipping, by the way), then you just need to buy the filters. This is an excellent water filter that I have used for years.
QUIT trying to have an agenda here and sell someone something else. If the other filtering system works for you - go for it, but don't try and persuade others to your site.

California certification 06-1789
California certifies this filter removes: Cysts; Cadmium; Copper; Lead; Mercury; Atrazine; Benzene; Carbofuran; Carbon Tetrachloride; Lindane; MTBE; Simazine; Tetrachloroethylene; Toluene; Toxaphene; Trihalomethanes; 2,4-D
EWG dot org has a lot of good information about municipal water supplies and what you need to filter on based on YOUR local supply, along with the information about certifications for devices.

!! IF SLOW FLOW, READ THIS !!
This is a great filter! Before i bought this item i read it was slow, and i thought to myself, "how slow can it possibly be?" One night the I filled it up, and to my surprise the next morning it still was not filtered. I figured it was impossible for it to be clogged after 2 days of use.
Then i realized the filter could not breathe. The top filter portion seems to make a perfect seal with the container and since air can not get in, it creates a vacuum and makes it EXTREMELY slow.
When you are adding water, lift up the blue filter portion to let air in and it works like a charm. Try it if you have a slow flow.
This review is spot on. Great filter, i love it.

You could have saved money and just bought a pitcher and once your water was filtered, poured it into the pitcher and refilled the water filter. Just an idea ;)
