Poorly written, talks down to the reader.,
This review is from: Leddy & Pepper's Conceptual Bases of Professional Nursing (Conceptual Basis of Professional Nursing (Leddy)) (Paperback)
This textbook manages to be complicated, imprecise and too simplified, all at the same time. Amazing. The author seems to think that the audience is either too unsophisticated or too dumb to read a nuanced discussion of the history or theory of the profession.
The book emphasizes the need for professional conduct and independent thought, but I didn't really feel like the author is extending either to her readers. It reads more like a recital of academic thought from other fields. It is poorly organized and full of cliches. Pretty disappointed.
