AMAZON best price, work well,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Panasonic VIERA TY-ER3D4MU Active Shutter 3D Eyewear (for 2012 and 2013 Panasonic VIERA 3D TVs) (Electronics)
We just purchased the GT version of a Panasonic Viera 55" Plasma, did not much care about 3D however found these on Amazon for $30 less per pair than any local retailer! Since the glasses and TV are both new, all you have to do is open the box, take out the glasses, and slide the power button over (which is located on the top of the nose bridge).
They are comfortable, and the glasses came partially charged - approximately 30-40% so you can try them right away. The 3D glasses symbol will illuminate on the lower right corner of your TV, and show the charge percentage of the glasses on-screen! They sync seamlessly with the set, then you will need to set your TV to 3D. They are quite admirable (or the TV is) of reproducing 3D "simulation" out of any 2D signal, but for best use, use a true 3D signal or station. The opening and closing ceremonies of the 2012 Summer Olympics is MIND BLOWING in true 3D on Comcast On Demand.
The only drawback is that the glasses "require" that they be charged by connecting them directly to your TVs USB port (on the side on this model) and there are a limited number of ports. I would imagine that if you did a little research you could find out the charging output of the TV's USB ports and find a stand-alone charger for these glasses. HOWEVER, this will void the warranty! It's rather odd having the glasses hanging from a cord off the side of the TV mounted in the wall, but they are just a novelty for us, charge quickly and hold a charge for a very, VERY long time.
SPECIAL NOTE: If you are prone to vertigo, motion sickness or any such ailment, you might want to try these out in a local store before you invest the $. I never suffer from these issues, however they can throw you "off" a bit while viewing fast-moving objects. Also they are "active shutter" so when they engage, they dim your viewing brightness some. My TV color/brightness is usually set to "Normal" and "Vivid" works better while using these glasses.
Another Amazon best-buy.
