This review is from: VTech Sit-to-Stand Learning Walker (Toy)
My Son loves this toy. He is just 7 month old.

Pros:
1] He like the sound. (They are not too high not too low, it is just right)
2] Color. (Has lot of color on it.)
3] Texture. (Lot of options to explore like my son like to open and close the door, he like to pick up the phone, etc.)
4] Sitting as well as walking. (Can detach the main unit and baby can play sitting at one place or can be used as a walker when attached to trolley).

Corns:
1] No Wheel locks. (Thus the baby who is learning to stand cannot use this as a support to stand up by them self.)
2] No Grip on tires. (Thus it skids on wooden floor.)
3] The locking mechanism for both unit is not secured. (We found they get detached without releasing the locks, thus need to be careful while lifting up the unit using the handle.)

Scope of improvement:
1] May want to improve the tires to have firm grip on wooden floors as well.
2] The lock which holds the two seprate unit needs to be redesigned.
3] may want to add some more stuff where babies can explore while they are standing/walking. (Of course considering safety aspect of the same.)

It was tempting to get this item for such a good deal, but after reading this review, it wouldn't be best to buy since we have wooden floors. We'll save our money for a learning tool that will fit our needs better!

Thanks for the info and the comments about wooden flooring. I was considering this (after changing my mind about the Alphabet Train, also), but he will be playing mostly on wooden floors, too. having info from actual experience is SO helpful!

Great review... But couldn't the low traction on wooden floors problem be resolved with a rubber band? May try it out anyway...

I thank you for adding the scope of improvements which I find very beneficial. Instead of being critical you weren't, just a loving parent. I hope the manufacturer takes your concerns seriously.

We have hardwood floors and I resolved the skidding issue by wrapping thick rubber bands around the wheels - worked like a charm!

Just regular rubber bands?

They must have updated this item since this review. The walker I purchased does have grip on the back tires and there are wheel locks.

It's a shame that companies update items and Amazon doesn't create new listings. Reviews like this (from the old version) could deter people from ordering this item, although it was published in 2011.

I agree with your comment on the lack of updates from Amazon. Thank you for letting us know.
