Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Krisk Bean Stringer and Slicer
I am so pleased with this product. It is so easy to use and "frenches" very quickly. The beans somehow taste better and fresher this way. While the end cutter works well enough, it is faster for me to just slice the ends with a knife (lining up many like soldiers and chopping the ends off with one slice of the knife). I have had so much fun using it that I have adapted a green bean recipe to show it off. This recipe has impressed everyone I have serve it to. We are planning to serve it for Thanksgiving.
Grateful Green Bean Casserole
One pound green beans frenched with the Krisk Bean String and Slicer
12 Ounces (one package) of brown mushrooms sliced very thinly
12 Ounces (one package) cherry tomatoes sliced in quarters
Combine the above three ingredients in a pretty serving bowl and then fold in the dressing below. Allow to sit at room temperature for at least one hour before serving.
Grateful Green Bean Casserole Dressing
1/4 cup water
The juice of one fresh lemon
1/4 teaspoon powered mustard
One medium zucchini roughly chopped
1/4 cup cashews that have been soaking a little water for one hour
Add first water, then lemon juice, then mustard, then zucchini and blend until smooth. Then add the date and cashew and blend again until smooth.
