Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: New Leaf Basic 100% Recycled Paper Composition Book, 100 Sheets, 9.75 x 7.5 Inches, College Ruled, Black Leaf (4512305) (Office Product)
Durable is the best word to describe this product.

The new Mead composition notebooks are poorly made where the pages are tissue thin and the cardboard cover is thick floppy construction paper.

But this...is solid and sturdy and good for everything from a school supply purchase to personal use such as keeping a journal or diary.

I myself use it as a journal and I won't use any other composition notebook because I want said journal to last years after I'm gone.

I'd complain about the price but it's reasonable and worth it, you get what you pay for.

Thank you for reading my review!

Happy Composition!

Hello, Thanks for your review; it helps a lot because I was considering purchasing this to use as a journal. I know you wrote this review a long time ago, but if you receive this comment I have a few questions ...

1). How thick/heavy is the paper? ... is it heavier than the newsprint-type paper in the composition books I used in college? ("blue books" they called them. It was forever ago!). would a gel pen bleed through to the back?, etc.
2). what are the lines like? ... eg, are they dark or light? Is it college-ruled or wide-ruled? etc.
3). Since you wrote this review, have you found any other good notebooks to use for your journaling?

Thanks so much for your review, and your help!
