Ours has the exact same issue. Leaks within the hardware, not at the faucet connection. Was going to buy another, but now reconsidering as it seems my unit's issues are not a fluke.

I havent had problems with mine. Is it possible your kids might be leaning on or banging on it? I'm a parent and I could see that.

We have the same problem, but after a year of good use. We did have to adjust it a few times, but just recently it started leaking just like your video. How frustrating. I wonder why PUR doesn't try to correct this? We may get another, just because we really enjoy the quality of the water, and the like that we can get it out of the tap for pots, pans and jugs as opposed to only a glass fitting in the refrigerator door filter.

Thanks M. Bailey and thanks Amazon for providing this kind of review. And what is going on with US companies, for goodness sakes? Consumer Reports rated the Kenmore Countertop as the best, but Sears stopped selling it shortly after the article came out last December!!! Our car companies, our banks, our restaurants, our government have all gone fricking brain dead. Looks like Amazon is one of the few bright spots.
Ok, thanks again!

wow, is this a great review! Thanks!
Only comment might be: what did you end up doing? Did you ever find one that did not leak? Great review with the video!

Mine does not have this problem now. I discovered it was a faucet problem, rather than a filter problem. The threads on the faucet were bad, so filter never tightened appropriately. Changed the faucet, and filter works fine.

We are on our 3rd one of these filters. Essentially the same problem but altogether our 3 units have lasted about 2yrs. Still a very poor product and I wont be buying another. Great review

I had the same problem. It's just poor design with a piece of plastic holding up the weight of the entire faucet. If they just use metal or something stronger for the weight bearing section this would not be a problem. Notice it's not leaking where the faucet thread is, it's leaking at the joint where it rotates. No amount of adjustment with the faucet can fix this. Mine failed after 11 months, but at least P&G sent me a coupon for free replacement. Unfortunately the vertical design (where the entire filter rotates) is even less reliable from my previous experience. Maybe it's time to look into Culligan filters.

Mine took 2 years to start doing what yours is doing. Not sure why the difference in time frame. That said, a helpful hint to anyone using this product: Keep the box. You can call the number on the box, explain the problem and Pur will mail you a coupon for a new system.
