I have read several books including C.J. Wehrlman's "God Hates You, Hate Him Back" and Bart Ehrman's "Misquoting Jesus" and Jesus Interrupted" - all excellent books. McGaffer, takes the argument against religion to a whole new level. Is it crude? Yes! Is it offensive? Yes. Is it funny? Yes Does it do a good job of blowing a huge hole in religion? Pretty darn good. I have not finished the book yet, but I have to say I have enjoyed it a lot and have laughed very hard from the first chapter. But, McGaffer also makes some sobering statements that are important when looking at the history of religion and the violence it has inspired (and continues to inspire). I just wish more fundamentalists would open their eyes and read authors like Wehrlman, Ehrman, and even McGaffer.
