Beware Online Knockoffs and Fakes,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Ordered a D&G Light Blue 3.4 oz perfume bottle from seller "Jacobs Enterprises" as a present for my mother. When it arrived, my mother complained that the perfume didn't smell anything like it was supposed to and that it barely had any of the longevity that it used to have with the store bought bottle she used. That's what I get for being cheap. It's better to buy perfume at the store to avoid getting a knock-off, lesson Learned.

just trust me says:
It's not that discount perfume is necessarily a knock-off it's just that after many years of sitting out on store shelves waiting to be sold much of the longevity of perfume is lost. Stores that sell the perfume at full price are aware of this and turn over their surplus perfumes after a certain period of time. The companies that pick these fleets of aged perfume up sell them to us for a lower price and a lesser quality. Therefore, the perfume you purchased was probably D&G authentic but it was old and therefore rendered less powerful.

I just received my order of Dolce & Gabana light blue from Oasis International Enterprises . I have worn this fragrance for years. The perfume I received smells like mosquitoe repellent. Even the bottle is a knock off. On the real thing the letters are raised, on the fake I received they are stamped somewhat smeared. The tag at the end of the bottle is also different.
I am in the process of trying to get my money back. The item I received, is not returnable due to flammability.

I have been wearing the perfume for years and I always get complimented.... since I have been buying this item online the compliments have stopped :| I think next time I will definitely get it at the department store... I will pay full price. :(

I don't think that buying on line had anything to do with your disappointment. I purchased Dolce & Gabanna "Light Blue" at Macy's and it was quite expensive for a gift collection. I tested it and a rep gave me a card that she had sprayed with Light Blue. The card indicated that it had the following notes: violet leaves, wine leaves, yellow freesia, orange flower, jasmine, ambrox, cedar wood, & white musky notes. I like the scent because I like floral scents. When I opened the bottle and sprayed it, it didn't have any floral scent at all. It smells like grapefruit juice and the scent is gone before you walk out of the room. I HATE citrus scents for fragrances! It's like spraying yourself with a spritzer or plain water with a touch of alcohol. It is the worst fragrance that I have ever purchased. I'll stick with my tried and true fragrances from Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, Givenchy, Tiffany, and others. Not only do they have nice undertones, these scents last for hours. Thumbs down on Dolce & Gabanna's Light Blue.
