Nice and big for cooking mass quantities,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Hamilton Beach 33182 8-Quart Oval Slow Cooker, Black (Kitchen)
This unit cooks as well as any crock pot. I suppose they all work pretty well since the older one I had previously borrowed from my neighbor worked fine too.....
This is a Nice and big crock pot so you can cook large meals for freezing....I have been very happy with the purchase, although I kind of wish I had gotten a programmable one.

You don't want a programmable one. Mine broke after about a year. Now I'm back to shopping for a manual dial : )

On Amazon reviews of other slow cookers, some reviewers noted that if you have a power outage, programmable slow cookers may not restart automatically. This is why I bought a manual slow cooker.

Buy analog external timers if you want them to restart after electric loss. The digital ones should also be OK after a power loss and they will last longer because they are away from the heat and humidity.
