Linux compatible DAC,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought this for use with an FIIO E9.
The DAC is an improvement over the Intel "SRS Premium sound" of my Dell Studio laptop.
Depending on the quality of the DAC on your sound card, the improvement may or
may not be worth it.
It works well. No background hiss or noise. Worked easily with Linux with no compatibility issues or sound dropouts (unlike the Nuforce uDAC I tried).
Without the E9, it struggles to power my Beyerdynamic DT990s (250 Ohm).
It has enough power for use with my Grado SR220.
With the E9 it works fine with all headphones I tried.
