THE PASSWORD IS "GREAT",
This review is from: Best of Password (DVD)I am so glad that this is out. I have most of these episodes on tape but to see them in great quality is super! What I am curious about is if we are going to get a big surprise if a second volume comes out called "The ABC Years 1971-1975" This would be a great release but the ABC episodes are presumed to be lost. The UCLA TV archive has about 10 episodes and GSN has ran 1 episode from the 1973 season with Jack Klugman and Brett Somers. There is also an episode from 1972 with Sheila MacCrae and Martin Milner that exists as well. Let's keep our fingers crossed and if you love classic game shows, this is a keeper!

M. Andy Mckinney says:
1. There won't be a second volume, at least not from BCI. Their parent company (Navarre) closed them down.
2. The ABC episodes in the UCLA archive are NOT of broadcast quality and are not even in their original colour. They're only in poor-quality black-and-white, as they're recorded on a primitive "open-reel" format (which pre-dates VHS and Beta by a good few years).
3. Apart from the Klugman episode, the only ABC ones I know of that still exists in their original, broadcast-quality (and in colour): that Klugman one, one "All-Star Password" episode, and the last-ever ABC episode.
I felt that BCI should've put at least a couple of the ABC ones on that first (and only) set, but I guess at the time they thought they might have the makings of a series of releases, rather than a one-shot.
