This review is from: Lego Batman (Video Game)
We got an xbox at Christmas for my 5 and 6 year old kids, and started off with Lego Star Wars: the Complete Saga, Lego Indiana Jones, and Lego Pirates of the Caribbean. They're all good games. The games have chapters for each movie in the franchise, the animation is full of character, and many of the levels are familiar scenes from the movies. For the ages my kids are at Indiana Jones seemed a little bit hard. Star Wars is a bit easier, but you don't have split screen for two players, so you players have to agree on which direction to go --which my kids do not. I'm not even a bit fan of the Pirates of the Caribbean movie franchise, but I think the Lego POTC game is the best. It has great animation, there is a lot of variety between levels, and my son seemed to be able to figure things out faster. (There were some levels that were hard, and I found some video game cheats websites to help out.) I limit the amount of time my kids can play sit down games, so these Lego games are complex enough that it would take months to complete.
Anyhow, after trying all these good games, we get Batman. It must be one of the first Lego games they made, because it's very basic compared to the others. It was disappointing. The animation has very little character, and the levels were basic. We bought it used. But for $18 new, I think that's very pricey considering that you can get better Lego games at the same price. BTW, when I bought this I heard that Lego was coming out with an updated Batman game, that includes other DC comic characters. That, I'm sure, will be worth getting.
