5.0 out of 5 stars Very Nice, June 12, 2014
This review is from: Linksys WRT1900AC Dual Band Smart Wi-Fi Wireless AC Router (2.4 + 5GHz) (Personal Computers)
I bought this as a replacement for a Netgear R7000 Nighthawk. Just installed and did the manual installation process without creating a linksys account.

Very smooth. UI is responsive and it is doing what I need (reliable internet connection!).

I don't use a lot of features but the signal strength is much better than the Nighthawk. I'll update if anything goes awry in the future.

I had been alternating router manufacturers over the years (Linksys and Netgear) but the disappointment with the Nighthawk will keep me on Linksys in the future.

I had such high hopes for my Nighthawk but so far it's been awful. Internet stops working if I start a download that creates multiple connections, QoS seems finicky at best, WMM actually causes streaming issues, etc.

I'm looking forward to the WRT1900AC that I should be picking up tomorrow.

I also dumped a Nighthawk for one of these.

Just want to let you guys know I had the same problems until I turned off their QoS service and everything was fine after that. I believe their built in QoS software is what is making this unit buggy. Just an FYI.

Is this still working well? Thinking of dumping my Nighthawk, but the first few weeks on the Nighthawk were good for me too. Then the wireless locks up and doesn't allow anymore devices to connect and I have to power cycle every few weeks.
