The APPLE lightning to 30-pin adapter for the iPhone 5 / next gen iPods works great. I also bought the lightning to USB cable. They allow me to utilize my current cables and chargers with my new IPod.
Like everyone else, I was initially disheartened that the iOS connectors were changing. I have at least a dozen cables acquired over time, and that's a scary investment to have to swap out. Now that I've got one of the new products, I can see why the change was made. The lightning connector is clearly superior.
My only challenge: I want to figure out a way of attaching it to my 30-pin cable when not in use -- something like a dongle -- so it'll be right there whether I want to charge my iPad (30-pin) or new Nano (Lightning.) Hmmm... rubber band? adapter cozy?
