5.0 out of 5 stars Traditional, Laid-back Feel, October 24, 2011
This review is from: Christmas (Audio CD)
Michael Buble's "Christmas" is a must-addition to your Christmas music collection. This collection of songs offers the traditional, laid-back feel that every Christmas album should embody and is reminiscent of albums from great crooners of the past. While many big stars attempt to rework and mangle Christmas song, Michael Buble chooses to showcase his talent by adding his stellar vocals to classic arrangements that need to be done justice, although the album also adds Buble's signature touch to songs such as "All I Want for Christmas is You." After getting this CD, I think Christmas is going to start early this year as I'll be enjoying Michael Buble's songs every day.

I was a huge Michael Buble fan even prior to receiving his debut cd in 2003. That one I truly love. I have been disappointed in each release since that date due to the lack of David Foster production on each one. I am more content with his Christmas cd because it has more songs on it, hence more to enjoy. There are a couple of clinkers that I could have done without. I also don't particularly like the MB original songs. Just because you have the power to write, produce and record a song of your own doesn't mean that you should. I am also disappointed in the way Michael's diction and enunciation of the lyrics has deteriorated from that first cd in 2003. Get David Foster to go back to the big productions, tidy up the lyrics and highlight his voice. This cd does have some good points and is not as big a disappointment as the last one. I have also stopped attending his concerts for the same reasons.
