Hi Todd, Thanks for posting a review. The amp sounds like a one-stop shop and pretty loud too.

Now just some important advice...Your guitar neck and/or string height needs adjustment so the strings dont hit the frets so much..it sounds really bad... an allen wrench (well for Gibson at least) should have come with it with instructions on how to adjust the neck to be straight, and the bridge should have height adjustements for each string. Also, you should then adjust the saddles (there are adjustment screws are positioned behind bridge) on the bridge until the 12th fret is exactly 1 octave above the open strings..EADGBE. You need to purchase a decent tuner as well and use it often.

7 years ago I got my first guitar in the mail. I didn't even know the neck or the bridge were adjustable, and I used free software to tune the open strings. The software was tuning a good 8th of a step higher than normal and the intonation was all off (the open chords sounded somewhat okay, but scales and chords down the neck were off)...no wonder I found it tough to find the right key to jam with music! After a year of frustration, I realized something was up and got a real tuner and read up on how to adjust the guitar. I have a pretty good ear, but playing with an out of tune guitar definitely screwed it up for a while.

So, you need to do these things, because only you can prevent tone deafness:

Oh my gosh, you're guitar is horrible. I have one just like it called a spectrum. It was my first guitar and I started noticing that I wasn't playing in tune ever. It was the guitar which sucked really bad, not me. So I bought a Jackson Warrior, and the difference in quality is amazing. That is a very nice amp, but I think I'm getting the Peavey Vypyr 15. EVERYBODY I talk to online says that it blows all the other amps away including the spider.

Respectfully ...

30 positive reviews for this Spider on Amazon ... no reviews for the Peavey Vypyr 15. If everyone is saying that the peavey is better, how come there are no reviews on Amazon?
