Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Wii Remote Plus - White (Video Game)
When I bought these as pre-order, I could not verify if they came with the rubber cover or batteries. I was happy to find out they come with the same nice rubber cover and batteries!

This may be a ridiculous question, but how does the wii mote work with NON motion plus games? Does it work well in instruments like Guitar Hero?

Shawn says:
When playing games that don't support Motion Plus, the remote acts and performs just like the original Wii Remotes. The Motion Plus only activates for games that support Motion Plus. It's just nice to not have to pay extra for the Motion Plus adapter or have it sticking out the bottom.

Do you have the battery charger? I wonder if the new controller works with it Wii Charge Station

Shawn says:
I do not. But, this remote is the exact same shape, same bottom connector, and same exact battery compartment door and batteries, which are AA's. So this remote will be compatible with any accessory that uses the battery door or the bottom connector. It is completely compatible with the original Wii Remote accessories. The ONLY difference is that the Motion Plus sensor is built in. And it has the words "Wii Motion Plus inside" in curved lettering at the bottom to match the curve of the rubber covers. So all your chargers and everything else that work with the original Wii remote, also work with this remote. Except the Motion Plus addon- since it's built in.

Is the rubber cover the color of the wiimote or is it clear?

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 23, 2010 11:23:40 AM PST
Shawn says:
It's clear. It's exactly the same one used with the current "non-motion plus" Wii Remote. Literally, this remote and cover is exactly the same except is has Motion Plus built in and the Words Motion Plus by the 4 LEDs. I have 2 original remotes and 2 of these remotes. I have to look for the words to know the difference.

To add to Shawns answer. The Black Wii Remote cover is black.

Also check out the Flingsmash bundle it's VERY cheap on amazon right now and comes bundled with a Black Wii Remote Plus for $32.00!!

Ellen Ripley says:
I got the Flingsmash bundle for $18.88 from Student Run on 11/30, then they were only available from Amazon for $32 for a few days which was still a good deal. But as of Dec 4 or 5 the price has jumped up to $48.28--but they have it bundled with a buy one game get the 2nd on 50% deal so for some that still might be a good deal.

Does it also have the wrist strap?

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 7, 2010 10:09:43 AM PST
Shawn says:
Yes, it has the wrist strap. It comes with the batteries, clear rubber cover, wrist strap, and works and looks just like the original.
