No, no, no!,
This review is from: The Cottage (DVD)
Don't waste your time on this one. Without having some level of empathy for "those in peril," it's hard to get worked up about the danger they're in. And the viewer can't empathize with any of these characters. They have names...but that's about it.
The plot, such as it is, just meanders along, with faint attempts at creepiness with no follow-through. And there are so many holes in it, it's practically lace: A successful novelist who can't afford to fix a blown muffler? Cops who just shrug and toss their hands? One daughter finds a key bit of information, but never mentions it? People disappear and no one is concerned?
Although it's only about ninety minutes long, my viewing experience felt like twice-that. Worst of all, it sets itself up for a possible sequel.
No, no, NO!
