1.0 out of 5 stars NFS:Rivals - NO RACING WHEELS WORK!!, November 22, 2013
This review is from: Need for Speed Rivals (Video Game)
That is right...A racing game that doesn't support any racing wheels....on any platform!! Not even for a PC!! PS3/4, Xbox/one Nothing!!

This game would be fairly cool if not for this major flaw.

The internet is buzzing for a fix, and one can hope after EA rakes in billions they can pay a guy a few bucks to come up with a patch?? This is the only NFS game to not support a racing wheel.

This is an unbelievable blunder by a company pushing a product to market to maximize profits for the Holidays, regardless if it is actually ready for people to enjoy.

If you want to play with a wheel....DON'T BUY THIS GAME! Hopefully enough people will post more reviews and complaints to EA's website to force the issue.

R. Yousif says:
Why would you want a racing wheel for an arcade style racer? Racing wheels are good for Gran Turismo and other racing simulators. That is not a reason to give a game bad ratings. Ratings should be based on if the game is what the EA says it is. Are you getting everything that was advertised to you? You made the choice to purchase the game. If the game had support for a racing wheel, EA would have listed it on the back of the game. It isn't an issue because we were never told there would be racing wheel support nor did I expect it. It never crossed my mind until I read this horrible review. It's an arcade racer, not a sim.

So.. all of the video games that I played at the Arcade and had wheels on them should not have them? I would want to drive with a wheel even if it is Arcade style... but
just for that I will skip this game until it is atthe bargain bin. and OHH YESS thank god GT6 is here!

With due respect R Yousif I think your logic is fallacious and the OP has a very legitimate point. If I was to purchase a war game I would rightly expect to be equipped with a gun - they go with wars. If a zombie game - a chainsaw. A racing game can be reasonably expected to support a wheel - they go with driving. Naturally they would not advertise the fact that they support wheels on the box, as you suggest, for the same reason Battlefield et al does not advertise 'guns included' - its is just a reasonable expectation. To the OP - I hate to be the harbinger of bad news friend, but do not wait for any technical support or bug fixes from EA. Look at the reviews for NFS Shift 2 Unleashed or the Nascar products and you will read the angry tirades of rightly disappointed purchasers.

You must work for EA or something. I bought this game Pre Launch and EA kept the fact they were leaving wheel support out of the game from consumers until the day before they released it. Is That Fair?? How Can I READ THE BACK OF THE OF THE GAME BEFORE I HAVE IT IN MY HANDS?? I have all need for speed games and NOT ONE SAYS ANYTHING ON THE PACKAGE ABOUT SUPPORTING A WHEEL BUT THEY ALL WORK WITH ONE...SOME EVEN SHOW A PICTURE OF THE WHEEL I HAVE! So why would they leave this out of this game?? Don't use my review to promote your idea of what things should be. I don't care if it is an arcade game...it is a driving game...I want to use a wheel to steer my car, not a joystick. You can spend your money on crap if you wish...I am warning people that have wheels to not buy it! EA Won't!

Does anyone tracking have my deleted comment in their email? I'd like to re-read what it said to see why exactly Amazon deleted it.

Sorry Monterrey, I don't have it. I was signed up to track it too? Strange? Anyway...my response was to R. Yousif at the top. I realized I didn't make that specific in my post.

Bottom line was...IF YOU USE A WHEEL ON ANY PLATFORM, PC/PS3/XBOX/PS4/XBOX ONE....DON'T BUY THIS GAME...YOUR WHEEL WON'T WORK.

Not sure why Amazon would delete your post? did you type bad words or something? I hope you did...since it is only fitting to describe this game.
