Maybe it's not for everybody . . . .

This review is from: Home Again: A Novel (Mass Market Paperback)
Okay, I'll be the holdout here; I just didn't really enjoy this book that much. It's the first Kristin Hannah book I've read, and will probably also be the last. Yes, all the characters are flawed and real, but the truth is that they have so many weaknesses and problems and issues that for about the first three quarters of the book they nearly drove me crazy! I just didn't LIKE these people much at all, and the story seemed very dark. The last quarter of the book becomes more hopeful and focused on possibility, but by then these folks may have worn you out. And even though I am a recipient of donated tissue myself, I found it pretty hard to empathize with some of Angel's fears.
