Great Pockets; Good Pants; No Complaints,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Key Apparel Men's Relaxed-Fit Enzyme-Wash Six-Pocket Jean in Ring-Spun Denim (Apparel)
There's not a lot of detail about the right-thigh cell phone pocket in the description above. The opening is 3½ inches wide and the pocket is 5½ inches deep. It easily accommodates my Galaxy Nexus phone. I've sought out pants with this discrete interior pocket (as opposed to the more common exterior 'patch' pocket) on the right thigh for many years now. The last pair I owned (by Carhartt) was discontinued, and while the pocket fit my previous cell phone, it was a very tight fit for my Galaxy Nexus. I hope Key keeps this style around for a good long time.
In addition, I've had jeans before where the hip pockets were so shallow they were nearly useless. Not the case here. These hip pockets are plenty deep. The right-side 'coin' pocket is also impressively deep and wide. I've never actually used that pocket for anything before, but in this pair of jeans I just might.
The jeans have survived one washing so far with no problems. All of the stitching and seams seem quite durable. The fabric seems lighter weight than I am used to, but it is less stiff and actually more comfortable with less break-in. Maybe that is what the "Enzyme Wash" is for. The size seems true to fit, giving me just enough of a muffin top to remind me that I still have a few pounds to drop.
All in all, I can't think of a reason to give these pants less than 5 stars. I've only had them for a couple of days, though. I'll update if anything changes in the future.
*UPDATE* Six months later and these are still fantastic jeans. I wear them 3-5 times per week and they show no signs of wear. Granted I don't do anything particularly punishing in them. I'm very happy with this purchase, and have already bought another pair to open some day in the far future when this pair eventually give out on me.
