Could have been great,

This review is from: NBA Live 2004 (Video Game)
-Pro Hop is an excellent concept and well executed
-I like the 10 man mo-cap they implemented, it definetly makes the game feel more "Live"
-Nice dunk, shoot, and layop animations
-Seperation of Shot and Dunk/layup button is an excellent concept and well executed
-Poor graphics compared to NBA 2K series. And to make matters worse, it suffers from a poor framerate in many in-game sequences, which is unexcuseable considering the NBA 2k series moves smooth at all times with superior graphics.
-Free Style control while a great concept, was executed poorly in this year's version, the moves your character will perform don't always coordinate to the direction or type of move you are trying to do.
-No online play
The combination of no online play and poor graphics, and a few in-game bugs echo an ever-growing opinion amongst gamers... EA Sports has more show than go. When a little guy like Visual Cocepts (NBA 2k series) can produce a far better game than a giant like EA, thats sad. Maybe EA should start focusing their resources on producing better games instead of advertising and licensing. Eventually it's going to catch up with them.
