This review is from: No Fear (Paperback)
I downloaded this book because it was free, and I am glad that I didn't pay for it! Although I did cut my losses by only reading about 1/3 of the book, it's unfortunate that I can't get back the time I wasted while reading it. I've read a LOT of books, many sci-fi and some vampire fiction, and so I've read my share of both good and bad books. It's rare that I won't finish a book, and my unwillingness to read to the end of this one puts it at the top of my 'bad book' charts.
I see two main problems with 'No Fear'. First, the writing is poor and very repetitive - I just couldn't bear reading another instance of lip licking. This is why I quit reading. If you want a well-written book (or even one that is reasonably written), this isn't the book for you. Second, the way that the fear of the main character is handled is trite and not-at-all believable. The premise may have had some promise, but a good idea is nothing without proper execution.
I've never written a review of a book before, but I feel so strongly about this opinion that I'm willing to take the time to review this one. I recommend reading another book - ANY other book.
