This review is from: WD My Book Live Duo 4TB Personal Cloud Storage NAS Share Files and Photos (Personal Computers)I needed a solution to backup my PC data and some RAID capability and also central location for all my streaming medias to access from diff devices like WDTV player, xbox, ps3 , other laptop etc in my home.
This product seems to have the features what I needed.I bought the 6 Terabyte one few days back. Hooked it behind my router and installed the s/w that was included with the package on my laptop. The drive was found by my PC and configured without any issue.
I setup RAID 1 configuration for the 2 drives to provide me data redundancy in case any 1 drive fails. I have now 3 TB of storage available.
Next using the included backup software I used it to backup my PC data. The wizard instantly detected all the files and classified them under diff. categories like documents, mail, movies, photos, music etc.
With 1 click of a button the backup process started.
It took around 1.5 days to backup around 160GB of data on the drive from my laptop, Laptop is connected wireless to the n/w.
I have a WD Media Player. This drive was found easily in the menus.
I am yet to test the streaming capability and cloud capabilities to access this drive over internet.
Also drive is also quite in operation. I have it in my bedroom so far not disturbed my sleep.
Also its very compact in size compared to NAS racks I have seen in my office.

Now that you have had the product for a few months are you still happy with it? Also, have you tried streaming data to your media player with it? I am planning to get this and pair it up with a new WD TV Live streamer.
